As a very nervous person about visiting dentist, I had to be seen to have a tooth out,I can not say thankyou enough to shree, what an amazing lady throughout my tooth extraction she kept talking to me and reassuring I was in good hands etc ,so a big thankyou to you again 😀

This has been my dental surgery for years, the staff are welcoming and honest with their work. I was living elsewhere and had a check up that suggested i get 3 fillings and 3 teeth removed I never went through with it and when i returned and make an appointment I was assured that my teeth were fine and not to be messed with :D Would recommend to anyone looking for a good private dentist
Just a brilliant dentist 😁
I had my first appointment today, an emergency one, and cannot thank them enough. To begin with I sent an email in the morning before they opened and the receptionist that phoned me back at 9am was lovely and so kind. I had an appointment before 10am. Sherrie the dentist was patient and so understanding. She explained all of my options and I was back in the chair that afternoon for treatment. Both receptionists were amazing in person and I cannot fault this practice in the slightest.
At Smiles Ahead, you’ll meet Nasir for your hygiene visits. With many years of clinical experience and a gentle, calming manner, Nasir is passionate about helping patients feel confident and comfortable during their appointments.
He’ll listen carefully to your needs, explain everything clearly, and support you in keeping your smile clean and healthy between visits.

Most patients benefit from a visit every 6 months, but your hygienist may recommend more frequent appointments if you’re prone to gum issues, have braces, or build up tartar quickly.
While a hygiene appointment isn’t the same as whitening treatment, it can help to lift stains and plaque, making your teeth look brighter and cleaner.
Our hygienist uses a gentle, patient-led approach, so you shouldn’t feel any discomfort. You may feel a bit of sensitivity in certain areas, but we’ll work with you to ensure you feel at ease throughout your visit.
A hygiene appointment focuses on cleaning your teeth and gums to prevent issues like gum disease, while a dental check-up involves a full examination by the dentist to assess your overall oral health, including your teeth, bite, and any signs of decay or other concerns. For complete care, it’s best to have both regularly.
Yes. While a hygiene appointment is essential for keeping your mouth clean and healthy, it does not replace a full dental check-up. Nasir, our hygienist, cannot diagnose or treat dental diseases like decay or infection, nor can he prescribe medication. For a full assessment of your oral health, regular dental check-ups are still recommended.
If Nasir notices something during your appointment that requires a dentist’s attention, he’ll advise you to book a dental check-up. This might include signs of tooth decay, broken teeth, or medical concerns that fall outside the scope of a hygienist’s role. His priority is always your safety and long-term oral health.
Direct access allows you to book a hygiene appointment without needing to see a dentist first. It’s a convenient way to keep your teeth and gums clean, especially if you’re between check-ups or want a freshen-up. Nasir will carry out a scale and polish, assess your gum health, and give personalised advice to help you care for your smile at home.
A direct access hygiene appointment costs £88 and includes a thorough clean, gum health assessment, and tailored oral hygiene advice. To secure your booking, a £40 deposit is required at the time of reservation. The remaining balance is payable on the day of your appointment.
This option is ideal if you’re not currently registered with a dentist or want to book in directly for a scale and polish.
